WHY BE A T.I.M.?
- Timothy was the Apostle Paul's spiritual child in the faith. Paul was committed to Timothy's spiritual growth, and work in the Lord. Our T.I.M. Program has the same commitment. We have taken on the name Tim to remind us of Timothy, a young man who responded to God's call, who was trained, and who served faithfully. We want you to make an eternal impact by walking as Jesus would have you walk, and talking about the things that will last for eternity! When it's all boied down, our goals are simple: to see you have a desire and tools to evangelize, and to see you mature as a child of the Most High; by providing you with personal Bible study and quiet times, weekly seminars on various topics, one on one time with Directors to encourage your faith and ministry, small group prayer and accountability times, ministry oportunity to campers, and recreation and campfire times.
Teens have been a part of Canyonview's ministry for over 15 years. In 1998 we changed our jounior counselor program to the Teens In Ministry Program. Since the change, teens have had a tremendous impact through this ministry. Our TIMs in turn have grown spiritually, relationally, and in confidence that they are not too young to be used by God to make a difference in the world for eternity!
WHAT DOES A T.I.M. DO?
- TIMs are paired with a member of our counseling staff or of the TIM Leadership staff. Together, they love the campers with God's love and serve the camp. TIMs are given different duties depending on what area of camp they are working in. TIMs may rotate between being paired with a group of campers at horse camp, day camp, or overnight camps, or participating on the Ground Service Team - a group of TIMs and Leadership staff that minister to our guest groups and other areas of need around the camp.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO BE A T.I.M.?
- Be at least 14 years of age, and no older than 17 years old. Basically, if you are going to be in high school next year - you qualify.
- Have trusted and are trusting in the blood of Jesus for forgiveness of sins and eternal redemption; and are in an active (not perfect) relationship with Him.
- Have a desire to mature as a child of the Most High.
- Have a desire to serve God in whatever ministry opportunities you are placed.
- Be ready to have a great attitude and a wonderful time!

WHAT'S THE CATCH?
- As much as we would like everything in life to be free... that's just not the case.
- There is a one time base fee of $85.00. This fee covers the following: 2 TIM t-shirts, a sweatshirt, insurance, and other material/activity expenses.
- Each week as a TIM will cost an additional $30.00 to cover room and board expenses.
- Please do not pay the base fee until you recieve a letter of acceptance. Also, upon acceptance, please do not make any of the weekly payments until each individual week of service.
HOW TO PREPARE YOURSELF FOR AN AMAZING SUMMER:
- Check your heart. Are you coming for the right reasons? Do you have any known sin that you need to lay out before God? Unless He is the center of your life, your work will be in vain. Do you have any unresolved issues with a brother or sister in Christ? These things should be taken care of before you try to honor God with your service. Spend time searching your heart, and prayerfully seek Gods face.
