Sometimes it is surprising how we can forget how truly amazing our God is. Not only does He know us and love us, but also He places a path before us that brings His blessings to people around us. We have the opportunity to be shining lights in a world that sometimes seems very dark.
As most of you know, we held our first annual Golf Marathon on June 28th. It was a truly amazing day. Most of us showed up a little before 7:00 am, and after a light breakfast 26 golfers hit the course. Our Teens in Ministry teens served as caddies. Our golfers raised over $50,000 in pledges and other contributions. They were wonderfully faithful, and so were all who pledged their support. Our goal of over 100 holes of golf per player was exceeded and we all had fun.
It was the most beautiful day of the week, and even though the wind came up a bit in the afternoon, the balls kept dropping and the funds kept rising. We thank God for His faithfulness and the generosity of so many people. The funds raised will all be used to glorify God through camper scholarships, camp programs, and other areas where support is needed for us to “Speak the Truth in Love”.
God’s is working all around us. Please continue to hold us up in prayer.
